Who are your enemies?

There's a saying that goes, "Show me your friends & I'll show you who you are". I say "Show me your enemies & I'll show you who you are". Fact is, if the literal devil is your enemy, you have little to worry about. Likewise, if your enemy are racists & criminals - I can conclude, you're a pretty good person. There's a simple cross-reference to be done to see if a person's enemies are really hateful for fathomable reasons or not, you just see who else the person's or group's enemies hate or like. The Apartheid government sympathized with Nazi Germany & disliked practically all of Africa & anything black... for a while, the Apartheid government disliked Jews, Chinese, communist countries (even Christian communist countries) & educated black people.  We must really be careful when making enemies because some people are villianized for just speaking the truth. Because, as much as we want the world to seem like a go

What does KZN mean to me?

As a Zulu-speaking person who identifies as Zulu who had both parents identifying as Zulu, KwaZulu-Natal is obviously my homeland. I say this as a basic fact, with no sentiments attached to it. I was born & raised in southern KZN & I don't think there's any shame in that. The same way I don't think someone who speaks Xhosa, identifies as Xhosa & was born & raised in Queenstown in the Eastern Cape should feel any shame in being who they are. A Tswana-speaking person from Gaborone in Botswana who identifies as Tswana should feel no shame in being who they are either. In fact, they should feel redeemed & grounded in being who they are living in their native land. I love watching football icons in European football who were born & raised in the town or city of the football team they play for & spend the rest of their careers with that team.  As much as southern KZN is home to me, I don't feel better than someone who lives in Johannesburg for exam

South Africa... In conclusion...

Everytime I see South Africa embarass itself on the international stage, I notice something very clearly. There's no clear intent to do something in this land. It's always murky, hidden-in-the-shadows meanings that you're supposed to decipher but never really get the full logic of what's going on. It's like the people of South Africa want to do something but never fully do it, there always seems to be something missing. If you're such a character or your country has such a "personality", even your victories seem unconvincing but your losses are almost always expected. I see this in football where South African players are singing & dancing before the first minute of the game, at least, Ghanaians & Nigerians sing & dance when they've won the game. The South African firefighters sent to put out the Canadian wildfires were singing & dancing before the fires were put out. It's awkwardly entertaining but what true purpose does it se

Jackals & foxes...

Just found it strange how ubiquitous the fox ( impungushe ) is. It is said to be found on every continent except Antarctica. Fox Wikipedia article.   Jackal Wikipedia article.   Isiqiwi sezilwane.

Is the USA really Africa's friend?

I think on the African continent, we tend to forget history & almost go asking for the same treatment from our enemies that they've consistently shown for centuries in many cases.  In the world of geopolitics, the USA has almost always assumed to be a "friend * " of Africa when the reality is shockingly the opposite. The HIV/AIDS virus that was said to be found among "gay people in the USA" then "monkeys in Africa" is said to have been artificially manufactured in the USA then spread in Africa. The Apartheid government, in hopes to reduce the black population, deliberately spread AIDS among South Africa's black people... KZN & Eswatini in particular. I'm of the belief that the USA is disappointed that South Africa never became like them, a land where the natives were forced into small reserves. A land where the native people were removed from the governance of their own land.  The same USA that openly admitted to destroying Libya &

Fascist dictatorship government from an African perspective.

People often think of the concept of the fascist dictatorship as inherently bad because it often employs discrimination of the highest order & rulers (dictators) have unchecked power. The very same people who claim that this form of governance is bad turn a blind eye to the atrocities committed by liberal, democratic governments. Many African countries are currently ruled by what is called kleptocratic governments where politicians divert state funds into their own pocket, these governments are liberal democracies. This is no worse than what a fascist dictator would do. FASCISM AT IT'S CORE   I don't think reasonable fascists see their "tribe" as the best but simply seek for what's best for their "tribe" & it's survival, basically known as patriotism. The same patriotism seen in every modern country. Patriotism, simply put, is liberal fascism. We've seen how patriotism can lead to the persecution of minorities just like how people assume
