Without democracy.

Africa once existed without election processes, this was during the time of monarchies. Instead of electing a head of state, there was a royal family which would rule the land. Now, I can understand how being ruled by a king today can sound strange to some but it has it's benefits & disadvantages as does democracy. People who dislike democracy are often accused of being against majority interests i. e. dictators. Yes, you can claim " The majority is stupid. " But under democracy, uncorrupted democracy , the majority gets the leaders they deserve & democracy can coexist with monarchy as with many lands worldwide. The king can select his prime minister & ministers, the people can elect their parliamentary representatives.  If you get rid of democracy, people will still need to have their voices heard somehow & the diversity of ways people choose to express themselves without elections can be chaotic. You would rather meet with the people & their represe...

Modern monarchy.

To any monarchist reading this, I want to tell you that monarchy is not dead. Monarchy, I believe, is still the most natural & most tried & tested forms of governance.  Many people seem to think the concept of monarchy is just one man ordering everyone around, while that is the case, it is not the full picture. I believe that MONARCHY IS AN INSTITUTION . While the king can remove & replace anyone from their political positions, there are still norms in a land & depending on how advanced the written law of the land is; these norms are usually a collective, unwritten agreement with the national community or written down in legislature.  Now, before a king is born & even during when he is a prince - there are known laws in the land & depending on how useful they are to the greater public, the king can choose to alter, do away with or add new laws. Remember, the king governs a nation & his well-being depends how well-governed the land & nation are....

Why life outside the West is perceived to be dark & bleak.

The West has managed to manipulate the world to favour them & we can only admire what they have accomplished. Most Western countries have managed to make their world all about them & their best interests while outside of the West, it is about survival & an undetermined course of life. Outside the West is the developing world & the "Global South", these are lands that do not fully believe in the Western/United Nation's concept of Human Rights for whatever reason. The problem in my world is that nobody seems to know what "freedom" really is, is it uncontrolled anarchy or individual room to practice free will within a certain legal framework?  While the world has embraced democracy, the Global South (Africa, in this case) still sees the concept of everyone having a voice as not as important. I'll admit that some people are just liars (or propagandists) & can't really be trusted with what they say so their voice is not as important as ind...

Systems are better than individualism.

In football we get teams now that use "systems". It's no longer a football team buying just the best players, they buy the best players for the system. I believe that this can work for top level governance structures in a land also. I myself prefer early 2000s free-flowing football that allowed more expression but I've seen how devastating well-implemented systems in football can be to my preferred (outdated) style of romantic football. So if you can't beat them, join them. A well-engineered system is often near unbeatable. People will be people & they will always be imperfect but you can create a system that can utilise the strengths & imperfections of a people to create a successful land. What am I talking about? The three examples below are systems that realise the imperfections of people & uses them to benefit a land.  Compulsory military service: It is a given that people need certain skills in a land & enjoy doing certain things more. As mal...

Mandatory service to the land.

Military service: A lot of people see military leaders wearing military gear who govern countries as sort of warmongers or people who are obsessed with war & while some probably are, the purpose of the military holds more importance in a land than just war, border security & defense. Militancy has it's role in any functioning society. In Africa, we often see wayward youths on the streets doing little, maybe the odd piece job here & there but no distinguishable or established trade. This happens while the land's borders are unguarded & riots happen unchecked by anti-riot police force, where are the young men that are supposed to be doing these tasks? Militant discipline helps with basic punctuality & having a purpose. When a young man is not treated like garbage all the time & given the role of defending the land, he gets a purpose & established role in society. While it's not quite running around with a Curriculum Vitae looking for employment,...
