The SADC economy.

The SADC is the Southern African Development Community, it consists of 16 southern African countries. These being:  Angola,  Botswana,  Comoros,  Democratic Republic of Congo,  Eswatini,  Lesotho,  Madagascar,  Malawi,  Mauritius,  Mozambique,  Namibia,  Seychelles,  South Africa,  Tanzania,  Zambia &  Zimbabwe. These are some resources SADC has & the strange trade choices some SADC leaders make:  • Angola has oil, but Zambia & Namibia next door buy oil from Saudi Arabia & Kuwait.  • Namibia has beef, but Angola next door buys its beef from Brazil.  • Zimbabwe has coal at Hwange, but Mozambique buys coal from China.  • Zambia buys 360 million litres Saudi Arabian fuel. We can buy from Angola.  • Angola spends US$ 500 million on Brazilian beef. They could buy from Namibia.  • Mozambique spends US$ 312 million on coal. They could buy from Zimbabwe.  • Malawi b...

The problem with a single African currency.

Preword: It's funny because one of the main reasons I found the courage to blog on African matters was due to a West African(?) gentleman who proposed the concept of a said "swal" & "zul" as a continental African currency in a blog. His boldness & conviction in his idea just captivated me & today I have to debunk this idea of his. But, hopefully, Africa sees why. African technologies & financial solutions Oh, Africa. We are so romantic; "United States of Africa", "Single African currency", "African unity", "Ubuntu"... all these fluffy, lovey-dovey concepts that will be ripped to shreds in the globalised world.  I debunked why a United States of Africa would likely collapse as soon as it sees the light of day. Today, I will debunk the concept of a "Single African currency" & explain why it would leave our enemies salivating.  I can't blame people who like stuff like United States of Africa...

I still can't believe it...

People who near destroyed the country & the businesses they work for are still allowed to continue operations & work in South Africa. How is this possible? The normal procedure would be for their assets to be seized & them being banned from financial industries in South Africa.

Blending the African economy...

I often talk of self-sufficient ethnostates & when conceptualizing #RepartitionSouthAfrica , I believe that it best to keep the South African economic structure as is but with federated governments & in time these federal regions would become independent self-sufficient ethnostates that structure their own economies.  When we talk about industry in Africa, some places are better than others at certain things. We could incentivise these industries to spread across the continent & maybe combine to share skills & resources. I imagine if we back these African enterprises by encouraging them to expand continentally, they could eventually compete globally. Enterprises like M-Pesa, Ushahidi, Kiira, Kantanka, Dangote Cement, Ebulenjini etc. could unite with companies in the same field to be competitive continentally. This could help the African economy immensely because we wouldn't import as much & all the wealth we make from our own enterprises stays on the continent. ...
