Ponderings of the Man from Mpofana...

I must start with a disclaimer again because I don't know the situation of black Americans in America. But since we keep hearing of an exodus of black Americans from the USA & Americas to Africa; I devised this idea , a few months back. But who's going to fund this & if it were funded why would they choose this exact plan or path? Well, there isn't a better thought-out plan & funders would be the African Union & the USA.  What would be the benefits of this plan of such a massive scale? Yes, it is creating a new country & identity but it is ideal in that black Americans would create their own land rather than live in a land where they may not fit well in that land's social fabric. I think black Americans have their own set of values, way of doing things, cuisine & cultural expressions. These would be better expressed in a sovereign black American state  (i. e. Hadinkanjamaa) than in Ghana, Morocco, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya or Tanzania. I do n...

With Afrikaners getting immediate refugee status in the USA & Trump quickening their legal status in the USA, I don't see much changing except maybe three things:  • It will bleed South Africa of some technical skills: Farmers are quite comfortable in South Africa & their assets would be much harder to sell if they wanted to move. The whites moving to the USA are likely younger, more willing to work & have less possessions.  • Because South Africa does not share the same Western sentiments that Afrikaners have, whites that move to America will likely end up staying in a country that gets them. With the World Cup & Olympics in the near future happening in the USA, Afrikaners that go to the USA are likely in for a enviable stay in America.  • And because the USA is a more open-minded country with more races than South Africa. White Afrikaners' racist sentiments might subside or they might find more groups that share their ideology in the USA.  Black Ame...

I'd like to start by saying my level of understanding of black America is of an outsider & will always be of an outsider, all I know is basic sociology & human interaction that allowed me to create this solution.  I believe if the USA really wanted African Americans to leave to Liberia/Maryland, they should've made the transition as easy as possible. Maybe even offer free trips & benefits... but Liberia had established tribes who lived there so maybe they could've got an island off the coast of Africa or some island in the Atlantic Ocean. My best solution for a black Usonian state would be to get the island Haiti & Dominican Republic currently is... make that a US state just for black people. And in time, grant it independence. Haitians & Dominicans could still speak Creole, French & Spanish & do whatever they did before... The new country could be called Ayiti... they could consider themselves as part of Africa or the Americas or both... I c...

The problem with the broader world is we judge people of different lands by our own land's norms. In precolonial Africa, many crimes were punished by just a spear to the gut. No reform in jail. If you break a law, you have to flee the land or be killed. Today, such punishment is illegal in South Africa but we won't judge our forefathers for they lived in a different time despite them being known murderers. Muslims & Jews are homophobic by default because of their holy scripture. Now, if we say they must be inclusive towards homosexuals, to them that's being sinful & against their faith.  Some societies are extremely promiscuous & it's the (controversial) norm. Religious & developed countries might look at this behaviour of promiscuity & think it's degenerate behavior. We live in different lands, worlds, ideologies & cultures... we are not all alike. I think on the African continent, we tend to forget history & almost go asking for the same treatment from our enemies that they've consistently shown for centuries in many cases.  In the world of geopolitics, the USA has almost always assumed to be a "friend * " of Africa when the reality is shockingly the opposite. The HIV/AIDS virus that was said to be found among "gay people in the USA" then "monkeys in Africa" is said to have been artificially manufactured in the USA then spread in Africa. The Apartheid government, in hopes to reduce the black population, deliberately spread AIDS among South Africa's black people... KZN & Eswatini in particular.
