A solution for disenfranchised black Americans.

I'd like to start by saying my level of understanding of black America is of an outsider & will always be of an outsider, all I know is basic sociology & human interaction that allowed me to create this solution.

I believe if the USA really wanted African Americans to leave to Liberia/Maryland, they should've made the transition as easy as possible. Maybe even offer free trips & benefits... but Liberia had established tribes who lived there so maybe they could've got an island off the coast of Africa or some island in the Atlantic Ocean.

My best solution for a black Usonian state would be to get the island Haiti & Dominican Republic currently is... make that a US state just for black people. And in time, grant it independence. Haitians & Dominicans could still speak Creole, French & Spanish & do whatever they did before...

The new country could be called Ayiti... they could consider themselves as part of Africa or the Americas or both... I can see the Ayiti national team playing in AFCON & having an observer seat in the AU & being part of North America at the same time. If a new Israel can be formed through Zionism, why couldn't a more peaceful version of such be made in Ayiti? They'll forge a new united Ayitian identity, they could even adopt Swahili as a national language.

Some black celebrities could have villas there in Ayiti, uniquely Ayitian industries could be made using the expertise & skills of African Americans. They could develop an Ayitian basketball, baseball & Gridiron football league... maybe develop new Ayitian activities... Ayitian badminton if you will. Learn from Japanese infrastructure on how to deal with earthquakes. The Ayitian state council could be formed using the best African American minds.

The deal would be the USA would not be allowed to declare war on Ayiti even if Ayiti became independent of them & if the USA did war with Ayiti, Florida would automatically be an Ayitian territory by law regardless of who wins the war.

If the above fails, Western Sahara could be obtained as a dual project between Africa & USA. The southern half of Western Sahara could be a Pan-African project where any black (Negroid) person could enter with just a passport. This southern half could be a land governed by the African Union directly itself. While the northern half of Western Sahara could be a Usonian developed land where all the above-mentioned Ayitian developments could be implemented. In time this land could be united & have Hausa as an official language, the land could be called Hadinkanjamaa (see image below). They could use the Marcus Garvey Pan-African flag with their own insignia as a distinguishing mark to be their national flag.

The outcome of this would be a land where black people from America are no longer persecuted by their respective countries & could come establish a new state offering their skills to it's development. I could see the likes of Jay Z, Oprah, Beyonce, Michael Jordan, Beenie Man, Zé Roberto, Wyclef Jean, Neil deGraise Tyson being ambassadors of the land of Hadinkanjamaa & the descendants of Eddie Griffin, Mike Tyson, Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Hart & Chris Rock reverting back to their African surnames & being proud Hadinkanjamaans.

The question could be trying to get the 50 million African Americans that exist to Ayiti or Western Sahara. I imagine the population density of Ayiti would be extreme but they could perhaps fit inside Western Sahara. The number of black people in South America is said to be 66 million & 37 million in central America & the Carribean. Considering the area of Western Sahara being 266 000 km², doing the maths leads me to Hadinkanjamaa's population density to be less than that of Barbados & Mauritius. The entire black African diaspora in America could fit in Western Sahara. The black Africa diaspora in America could also fit inside the island of Hispaniola (Ayiti) & have a population density the size of Bahrain & less than that of Gibraltar.

There could be Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking & English-speaking neighbourhoods to make the transition easier.

The problem with a single African currency.

Preword: It's funny because one of the main reasons I found the courage to blog on African matters was due to a West African(?) gentleman who proposed the concept of a said "swal" & "zul" as a continental African currency in a blog. His boldness & conviction in his idea just captivated me & today I have to debunk this idea of his. But, hopefully, Africa sees why. African technologies & financial solutions Oh, Africa. We are so romantic; "United States of Africa", "Single African currency", "African unity", "Ubuntu"... all these fluffy, lovey-dovey concepts that will be ripped to shreds in the globalised world.  I debunked why a United States of Africa would likely collapse as soon as it sees the light of day. Today, I will debunk the concept of a "Single African currency" & explain why it would leave our enemies salivating.  I can't blame people who like stuff like United States of Africa...

A viable single African currency concept.

The original reason why I believe a single African currency would not work. Below is how we could attempt to make it work.  The many currencies of Africa. To prevent destabilization of the continent's economy, there could be two currencies: The Lami  for countries lying mostly north of the equator & the Ng'ombe  for countries mostly south of the equator. Both currencies would be independent with the Lami having it's bank & headquarters in Addis Ababa while the Ng'ombe could have it's bank & headquarters in Nairobi.  N.B.: Gabon, Congo-Brazzaville, DRC & Kenya would use the Ng'ombe currency while Uganda & Somalia would use the Lami currency.  North of equator = Lami  South of equator = Ng'ombe   More stable countries with higher GDP per capita could be first to use the new currencies i.e. Seychelles, Mauritius, Gabon, Botswana, Libya, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Algeria, Na...

What did King Shaka look like?

I've heard some people quoting from King Shaka's praises claiming that he was "like the sun" therefore light-skinned. But I'd like to ask how comparisons with the sun equate with being light-skinned? If anything, if King Shaka was light-skinned, they'd compare him to something terrestrial like the colour of a cow hide, wood or other object because very few extraterrestrial objects have the colour of any human skin. Even white people are called "ondlebe zikhanya ilanga" ('those who have translucent ears") & not  "abakhanya okwelanga" ("those who shine like the sun"). King Shaka's mother was from Elangeni & there is the Langa clan in KZN, all of them are black with many being exceptionally dark-skinned so I don't think the comparisons comparing King Shaka with the sun have anything to do with his complexion. Even the whites who first saw him & drew him wrote that he was dark & fairly tall. I also don...
