The Uncle Ruckus problem...

You know, in South Africa we have a lot of black sellouts & this generally happens in multiracial countries. Whether a black person generally hates his own race, hates himself, appreciates white women/men more, assimilated favourably into white society - we have hoardes of black people that are willing to do white people's bidding in some mutually beneficial agreement. The thing is, they will NEVER BE white unless they mate with white people for some generations. These Uncle Ruckuses (& Aunt Jumimas) are all over black society worldwide. So what can we do about this problem? Frankly, nothing my fellow black people. As long as there is disenfranchisement & troubles related to poverty in black societies, there will always be sellouts. The thing is, you can't bid for what doesn't favour you & while it's rare & strange that there are black people bidding for white supremacy, white supremacy genuinely benefits certain groups of black people even if it doe...

Afrikaners getting free pass to American citizenship.

With Afrikaners getting immediate refugee status in the USA & Trump quickening their legal status in the USA, I don't see much changing except maybe three things:  • It will bleed South Africa of some technical skills: Farmers are quite comfortable in South Africa & their assets would be much harder to sell if they wanted to move. The whites moving to the USA are likely younger, more willing to work & have less possessions.  • Because South Africa does not share the same Western sentiments that Afrikaners have, whites that move to America will likely end up staying in a country that gets them. With the World Cup & Olympics in the near future happening in the USA, Afrikaners that go to the USA are likely in for a enviable stay in America.  • And because the USA is a more open-minded country with more races than South Africa. White Afrikaners' racist sentiments might subside or they might find more groups that share their ideology in the USA.  Black Ame...

A 100% black South Africa.

I believe ability can be taught . If black South Africans learnt the same trades & skills that whites & Asians have, they'd be able to maintain South Africa as is. That is, IF they wanted to keep South Africa as is.  A South Africa with pre-1652 racial demographics could still be successful.  France could've still won the FIFA World Cup with only white Gaul-descended Frenchmen. Ability is not a matter of race as it is of learning a method. This is why Japan, a largely homogenous nation seems to be good at everything from industry to sport. Japan has managed to find a balance between their ancient past & modern systems, or they - at least - have modernized their ancient cultures & translated them into the modern world. They do all this with very few Europeans & Africans in their country. No ability is race specific. Black people can learn to make guns & cars as easily as white people can learn to stick fight & hunt animals with spears....

Why I'm not racist just realist & race reality in South Africa.

South African media is all about inclusion & that's fine. But nobody truly wants to unite with other races & ethnicities in South Africa. The Boers have their Orania which specifically focuses on their interests but as soon as an indigenous group in South Africa does the same, that indigenous group is forced to be inclusive. I am not white, coloured or Indian. Whites, coloureds & Indians live in their own world that does not include me, a black person. So for me to force inclusion with groups that are inherently racist makes no sense. I'd even go as far as saying non-racialism in South Africa is ANTI-BLACK & therefore anti-me. Whites, Indians & coloureds are patiently waiting for the day black majority rule in South Africa will end & this day will never come for them. The only thing that will certainly happen is black people will realise that they are the overwhelming majority & in democracy, the majority rules the land.  Maybe foreign forces want to...

For the conscious black nationalist...

1) The problem with claiming "you made someone" of a different race or even ethnicity to you is that to them, you're just being stupid. Because even if you did "make them", you gave away for free what you could've kept for your own race & ethnicity. Claiming a black person is white because they're better than many white people at a particular task won't make the black person white. You don't become another race because of a certain level of competence. Even if the famous Michael Jackson bleached his skin, learnt Hungarian & how to manufacture a gun from scratch; he still wouldn't have been white. Likewise, getting a suntan & learning Swahili wouldn't have made F. W. de Klerk black. Hijacking the success of other races is another form of soft neocolonialism.  2) Black unity was introduced to South Africa - & perhaps Africa - by a group of academics who were educated by people who were not from Africa, not to say black unit...

The white South African.

I am trying to realise what it means being a white South African & I will surely never understand as a black person but knowing that the whole world, apart from a few far-right groups, questions your existence in Africa must make you consider whether you really belong in Africa. I mean, sure, you could be hard-headed & continue forging ahead with the (now defunct) colonial ideal but after all the wars & racist policies, it is no longer welcome in Africa. So what to do with white South Africans?  The group of whites that is considered the most racist in the world: white South Africans. What's makes them particularly more racist than other white people worldwide? The future of the white South Africans .  I think as Africans wake up to their world, the idea of colonisers - let alone colonisers hogging their land's economy - will be less welcome. What we will see is increasing xenophobic sentiments towards South Africa's white population. And I can imagi...

A South Africa without racial classifications.

What would South Africa look like without racial classifications? We just have to look at Angola, France, Cape Verde &, more recently, Ivory Coast. A lack of racial classification improves very little except minor improvements in televised sports because races working together in a team, while quiet common in the modern world, still intrigues us. In fact, a lack of racial classification increases subtle racism in most cases. A majority black state that has no racial classification often falls victim to subtle racism, a majority white state that has no racial classification often has an increase in subtle & expressed racism. So to me, an ethnostate where race is comprehensively classified is still better than all other options.  IMAGE   We have a real problem with image in a multiracial world & there is no easy solution when people are judged by something as permanent as race or their facial features. Every race is genetically adapted to a specific geographic & ...

Homogeneity.

My first encounter of the concept of homogeneity came when I read how some Italian football dignitary of sorts commented on when they beat a team that was a combination of every nation in the world (the French national football team) with just Italians at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. This Italian football boss then went on to mention the various Italian tribes (Campanians, Etruscans, Sicilians, Lombards etc.). I, in fact, kept that Kick Off magazine where it was reported he said what he said - it has Ronaldinho in a red jacket on it's cover - but seem to have misplaced it somewhere. I didn't think of it much at first because I simply thought this Italian man was just running his mouth, but I've had this concept of homogeneity at the back of my mind for a long time. After hearing this, you then compare which football teams do better, is it black teams, Arab teams, mixed-race teams... simply, football is a European sport so Europe should be better at it. So it's not an accura...

What black people need to know about coloured (mixed-race) people...

Many mixed-race people who have, at least, one black parent identify as black in the Western world. In Africa, it's not the same... mixed race people in Africa, especially those with white fathers prefer their father's identity & rightfully so, one usually claims the identity linked with their father's surname. What we as black people assume is that mixed-race people who were born under black culture should simply adopt black culture & forsake their other heritage. Virtually leaving little room to express themselves in full so, in time, they grow resentful of the culture they were born under. My theory is if someone is not of full blood, they should not be considered any of the identities they are a mixture of. Then you say "Maybe when an individual has no identity to go home to, he/she goes rogue & becomes a menace to society when lacking something to hold on to." This might be so in unstructured societies with no identity & direction but where ...

Black obsession with Ancient Egypt.

I've seen these posts on the internet of black people, usually from U. S. A., claiming that Egyptian pharaohs were black. Mr. Cheikh Anta Diop did indeed prove that some Ancient Egyptian pharaohs & Ancient Egyptian citizens were genetically black. It's best when you can prove things scientifically with genetics & in simple terms so all can understand things lest ancient texts (heiroglyphics in this case) be misinterpreted by people who are less informed. Ancient Egyptians were said to be Hamitic people, their descendants are said to be the Coptic people of modern-day Egypt (see image below). As opposed to Arabs who are a Semitic people.  Even if they were black, I find it troubling to claim an identity that is not completely yours because when the true owners of it appear, you risk looking like a fraud. For example, I can't claim the works of the Oromo or Songhay as part of my identity even if they are black like me. I can claim works of Zulu, Swazi, N...

What is race?

I often say that I grew up among many races but always never forgot my black/African roots. There is no South African accent because every racial group or ethnicity in South Africa speaks with their own accent so if I were to classify my accent,  it would be just "some black guy from South Africa speaking". Accents often tell where you grew up or were educated but race does not. I can speak with a Chinese accent as a black person but it won't make me Chinese.  In the recent past, the word 'race' could often be used in the same way as 'ethnicity'. You'd get the Italian race, the Igbo race, the Egyptian race & so on. It's only in the modern day that the word "race" is specifically reserved for continental groups when before, it could mean any distinct ethnic group. Also, race is not colour because there are some dark skinned Indians who would pass for black if they were bald & light skinned or even albino black people who are much ...

South Africa: Why the Inglorious Basterds don't always beat the Nazis...

In South Africa,  we have a new form of propaganda. One that promotes mixed ethnicities & makes being of "pure blood" a shame. Promoting bastardization to put it coarsely. Mixed race or mixed ethnicity marriages are not a bad thing but neither are marriages where both the male & female are of the same ethnicity. It is no crime to want to marry a person of your own ethnicity. That is, in fact, the norm & statistically involves less conflict & contradiction in future than mixed identity marriages. Sometimes people want mixed ethnicity marriages to promote peace among conflicting groups but that seldom ever works because people being people, we'll still not like those that are different from us. You cannot shame stable people into wanting to be of mixed ethnicity. I want to send a message to people whose parents are of the same ethnicity that it is no crime to be a perfect cultural or genetic phenotype of your people. It is not Nazism, there is no killing ...
