What happens when Western concepts of liberty reach African shores?

You know, when Africans listen to Tupac, Eminem & see Dennis Rodman... they think that these people are beyond any social restrictions. Singing "F*** the police" or about raping animals & getting tattoos & piercings all over your body is certain to get you arrested or an exorcism in most parts of Africa. But it happens that to impressionable, young people on the African continent - the concept of unchecked freedom resonates with them. There are countless musicians in Africa who emulate this American-centric style of "doing as you please" & giving the illusion of having a lot of money. This concept of freedom, however, did not not spring out of a vacuum in America. It has it's roots in Europe. Now, there was a time when America's father (Europe) did not have concepts of individual liberties & ideas of the people or nation being a force. So when people like the (original) Illuminati & Napoleon spread such enlightenment ideas, the monarc...

The Uncle Ruckus problem...

You know, in South Africa we have a lot of black sellouts & this generally happens in multiracial countries. Whether a black person generally hates his own race, hates himself, appreciates white women/men more, assimilated favourably into white society - we have hoardes of black people that are willing to do white people's bidding in some mutually beneficial agreement. The thing is, they will NEVER BE white unless they mate with white people for some generations. These Uncle Ruckuses (& Aunt Jumimas) are all over black society worldwide. So what can we do about this problem? Frankly, nothing my fellow black people. As long as there is disenfranchisement & troubles related to poverty in black societies, there will always be sellouts. The thing is, you can't bid for what doesn't favour you & while it's rare & strange that there are black people bidding for white supremacy, white supremacy genuinely benefits certain groups of black people even if it doe...

He taught me how rich people think...

I've been studying Vusi Thembekwayo for a while, I noticed that he grew up as a Model C kid but the difference is he took his hustle overseas & excelled. Now, there already is a running joke that Model C kids are arrogant & forward... when you take that & give it extra privilege, you likely could have a dangerously big-headed individual. Luckily, for us, our Thembekwayo hasn't become an egomaniac yet. But, watching his interview a few weeks or months back on TV taught me how rich people think.  Rich people have this "rich" laugh , excuse the pun. All of them. That haughty "You mean nothing" laugh.  Now, as a common individual, you start thinking "Which reality do these people live in?" And that's when it clicked for me. These people don't live in our reality. They can have anything they want, whenever they want. Nando's & Spur is not a treat for these people. They could have Nando's & Spur every single day, three...

The problem with mysticising Africa.

This is the same train of thought as the fame blog I did several weeks back. Today, I tackle the habit of mysticising Africa. Many of us have heard of American comedians making fun of how unsophisticated Africans are & how harsh the African environment is as though going to Africa is like travelling back in time.  The problem this creates for Africans is that it limits our characters to set stereotypes. An African physicist, for example, would near need to be able to "kill a lion & kill a goat" to prove that they are African in the Western world. This double-standard is not applied to an Arab, Indian, Asian, European or American physicist.  An African astronomer would need to be Dogon or Dogon-orientated for their craft to be acceptable. And sadly, black construction site supervisors are typically less trusted by the West than black builders.  This is an extra weight that Africa has to carry worldwide. We are assumed to be "tougher" & are given heavier ...

Who are South Africa's parents?

South Africa's father is England & Netherlands, so essentially Germany. But biologically Sotho-Tswana & Nguni, so virtually Kongo. With minute Scandinavian & Asian mixes, that's Morocco. South Africa is essentially Mali, Mali or Mauritania. That's who we are.  All this time preaching about new mixed South African identity & it's already been done. SA is just waiting to be future Tuaregs or Hausa people.  SOUTH AFRICA IN THE FUTURE.  "Wassalamu aluikum brother El-Sipho Farouk bin-Dlamini. We hope the goats are producing enough milk for the desert heat. Inshallah." The future Tuaregs, South Africa.  The most common person in South Africa

The reality of fame...

When something or someone gains fame or infamy, there comes a time where that something or someone wants to parody or reject it's fame & become a copy or a counter-personality of it's former self forgetting that the present is not the past. Essentially, becoming a fake or anti-personality of a former self. Your obsession in 2005 was not exactly the same thing in 2017 & it's not always because you grew to resent whatever you no longer like, you just grew out of it. That's the problem with fame, it sees an image of the past as the present & it forces people to be frauds.

What South Africa's minorities fail to understand...

When I speak of South Africa's minorities - I do mean racial minorities such as coloureds, Indians & whites not  ethnic minorities such as the Phuti & Nama.  Now, these minorities are often angered by the state of disfunction in South Africa. I offer solace not contempt when I say MAJORITY RULES . Knowing the history of South Africa, their rage seems misplaced because they will always seem to be the foreign entity despite their best efforts at including themselves in majority matters. It is not the colour of their skin as much as their condescending mannerisms towards a previously oppressed indigenous people that earns them disapproval.  In any peaceful land, the majority needs to be satisfied with the state of the country. Minorities leading/controlling a country will always lead to turmoil & unrest. This is why Apartheid & African colonialism were doomed, because of minority rule. If Apartheid were applied where Boers were the majority (i. e. Holland),...

Why I'm not racist just realist & race reality in South Africa.

South African media is all about inclusion & that's fine. But nobody truly wants to unite with other races & ethnicities in South Africa. The Boers have their Orania which specifically focuses on their interests but as soon as an indigenous group in South Africa does the same, that indigenous group is forced to be inclusive. I am not white, coloured or Indian. Whites, coloureds & Indians live in their own world that does not include me, a black person. So for me to force inclusion with groups that are inherently racist makes no sense. I'd even go as far as saying non-racialism in South Africa is ANTI-BLACK & therefore anti-me. Whites, Indians & coloureds are patiently waiting for the day black majority rule in South Africa will end & this day will never come for them. The only thing that will certainly happen is black people will realise that they are the overwhelming majority & in democracy, the majority rules the land.  Maybe foreign forces want to...

Infidelity in black culture.

I did not think whoring was that common among black people to this extent or maybe it just wasn't that pronounced in my world? I did not think fading people was that common before 2014, I really didn't.  This "culture" is also common among black Americans. Black Americans & black populations who mimick their culture are cursed. How is it that not even six months passes without hearing about "cheating" from them? What the hell are they doing? Sticking to one person whether you're male or female is not rocket science. You almost feel cheated on even when you're single by watching their content. Is the whore culture that deep? They may as well be dragging their private parts on the ground. People must really learn to sit still. Learn to sit still & keep quiet for four hours when you have time. Centre yourself. Why does the black race feel the need to constantly be doing something? At least, do something positive. What the hell are you bothering ...

National identity.

A nation often starts out as a family/group of families which expand across a land. They then either assimilate into larger groups or overpower smaller groups. Migrating clans that settle among this nation usually assimilate or usurp the ruling class of the people's lands they come to. Once groups of people become stabilised in a region their governance usually centralises & through intermarriage, a distinct phenotype of that nation develops. A culture, language & sometimes regional dialects form depending on how centralised or decentralized the culture of the people is.  This has usually been the case throughout human history unless a form of separation is law. Then, because of forced separation, two or more clashing identities form & in time these identity groups form their own countries or one identity rises to power across the whole land & crushes the other groups.  A people of the same land often become a unified nation, in time despite having ...

For the conscious black nationalist...

1) The problem with claiming "you made someone" of a different race or even ethnicity to you is that to them, you're just being stupid. Because even if you did "make them", you gave away for free what you could've kept for your own race & ethnicity. Claiming a black person is white because they're better than many white people at a particular task won't make the black person white. You don't become another race because of a certain level of competence. Even if the famous Michael Jackson bleached his skin, learnt Hungarian & how to manufacture a gun from scratch; he still wouldn't have been white. Likewise, getting a suntan & learning Swahili wouldn't have made F. W. de Klerk black. Hijacking the success of other races is another form of soft neocolonialism.  2) Black unity was introduced to South Africa - & perhaps Africa - by a group of academics who were educated by people who were not from Africa, not to say black unit...

A South Africa without racial classifications.

What would South Africa look like without racial classifications? We just have to look at Angola, France, Cape Verde &, more recently, Ivory Coast. A lack of racial classification improves very little except minor improvements in televised sports because races working together in a team, while quiet common in the modern world, still intrigues us. In fact, a lack of racial classification increases subtle racism in most cases. A majority black state that has no racial classification often falls victim to subtle racism, a majority white state that has no racial classification often has an increase in subtle & expressed racism. So to me, an ethnostate where race is comprehensively classified is still better than all other options.  IMAGE   We have a real problem with image in a multiracial world & there is no easy solution when people are judged by something as permanent as race or their facial features. Every race is genetically adapted to a specific geographic & ...
