What happens when Western concepts of liberty reach African shores?

You know, when Africans listen to Tupac, Eminem & see Dennis Rodman... they think that these people are beyond any social restrictions. Singing "F*** the police" or about raping animals & getting tattoos & piercings all over your body is certain to get you arrested or an exorcism in most parts of Africa. But it happens that to impressionable, young people on the African continent - the concept of unchecked freedom resonates with them. There are countless musicians in Africa who emulate this American-centric style of "doing as you please" & giving the illusion of having a lot of money. This concept of freedom, however, did not not spring out of a vacuum in America. It has it's roots in Europe. Now, there was a time when America's father (Europe) did not have concepts of individual liberties & ideas of the people or nation being a force. So when people like the (original) Illuminati & Napoleon spread such enlightenment ideas, the monarc...

Prehistory of southern KZN.

As I cannot live for hundreds of millions of years, I was not there to see any of these events happening so I'll take the word of historians, archaeologists & anthropologists in these findings. I did not screenshot every map so you can go to the website underneath & go have a look for yourself.  170 MYA (Million Years Ago): In the mountains, next to Antarctica with Argentina the same distance away as Cape Town.  200 MYA: Wedged in between Argentina & Antarctica  260 MYA: Under water again.  340 MYA: Virtually at the South Pole  370 MYA: Either glacier landscape or under water 450 MYA: Either under water or glacier landscape. Antarctica is closer to us than Cape Town or Mozambique.  470 MYA: Positioned as the most northern point of South Africa & of Africa but still in the Southern Hemisphere.  500 MYA: Antarctica north of us & closer to us than the Karoo.  ...

Mpofana history from an ACTUAL Mpofana.

I have some time & decided to write the full history of the Mpofana clan as best as I know it. I have little reason to lie, this is my heritage which I handle with a reasonable amount of seriousness.  Mpofana means " like an eland ". It has nothing to do with skin texture or financial status. The very coat of arms of the Mpofana Municipality has an eland on it.  I've read a lot of lies online about Zulu & Nguni history in general. It is disgusting. Most people who write these articles have no vested interest in writing the truth anyway & are usually outsiders who wish to spread a false narrative for whatever vomit-inducing reason.  I will forsake all other nations, tribes & clans to focus on my own because I have good reason to write the truth of my own origin. I do cross-reference things to ensure that the history I write is backed by geography & actual historical events. Some history "books" have full lies in them about the Mpofana clan. S...

Just an odd vent...

I really wanted to put a voice onto this & make it a podcast but content on podcasts isn't taken as seriously as content on blogs these days. I just wanted to comment on President Paul Biya & the Transatlantic Slave Trade again.  You know, the human mind goes wild sometimes & I'm not Cameroonian or up-to-date on the day-to-day happenings of Cameroon but by my understanding Paul Biya is virtually the king of Cameroon. I even saw a YouTube video titled "Paul Biya est un dieu" ("Paul Biya is a god"). Mes amis camerounais, comment ça va?  Biya is said to be 92, I'm not ageist but 92? If he can govern, fine but ruling for 40 years? Is Cameroon really a democracy or a monarchy, they need to start telling the truth. And why are Anglophones being killed in the Ambazonia region of Cameroon? Both English & French are not our languages.  Donc, pourquoi c'est que les Ambazoniens être dans le génocide?  I've seen very disturbing pictures of pe...

What did King Shaka look like?

I've heard some people quoting from King Shaka's praises claiming that he was "like the sun" therefore light-skinned. But I'd like to ask how comparisons with the sun equate with being light-skinned? If anything, if King Shaka was light-skinned, they'd compare him to something terrestrial like the colour of a cow hide, wood or other object because very few extraterrestrial objects have the colour of any human skin. Even white people are called "ondlebe zikhanya ilanga" ('those who have translucent ears") & not  "abakhanya okwelanga" ("those who shine like the sun"). King Shaka's mother was from Elangeni & there is the Langa clan in KZN, all of them are black with many being exceptionally dark-skinned so I don't think the comparisons comparing King Shaka with the sun have anything to do with his complexion. Even the whites who first saw him & drew him wrote that he was dark & fairly tall. I also don...

What life in precolonial southeast Africa was like.

You were born in your traditional homestead in a traditional hut. I imagine because of lack of modern medicine, the likelihood of obtaining disease or dying would've been increased.  As a toddler you eat smaller versions of what the adults eat & coarse maize or sorghum porridge.  In your teens, a lady may be married off & a male may join regiments & start considering starting his own family so you'd get circumcised.  After 21 years or adulthood, you would've been married (or a commoner i. e. permanent regiment, herdboy, hunter or messenger). Your wives plough the fields, you or your sons look after your livestock, you hunt & watch for predators & hostile invaders. You would pay tribute to an elder chief or king of the region in meetings with them & ceremonies like "first fruits" festivals.  You would likely not reach old age as there was lack of modern medicine.  During periods of war, the local chief or king may require your service for ...

De-globalisation.

A USA citizen illegally enters forbidden North Sentinel Island. I think when people complain about colonisation, it's usually the loss of the indigenous way of life & not modernisation or industrialisation. Indigenous people can still live with their ancient customs & be modernised. As much as the Eurasian way of life was starkly different from everywhere else until the 1400s, human existence still requires the same necessities. The Eurasian way of life just managed to create a way of living that was more comfortable than the more natural way of life that existed on other continents. The Eurasian way of life originates from the very same systems that more primitive peoples lived under, so much so that it was quite easy to translate European ideologies to African societies & vice versa on some occassions.  De-globalisation   I understand how indigenous people worldwide can feel that they have lost control of their lands & it's a very reasonable sentiment. It wou...

Why the whole of South Africa does not belong to Cape Coloureds or the KhoiSan...

It really puzzles me when Cape Coloured people claim that South Africa belongs to coloured / KhoiSan descendants because;  • they are more Eurasian than they are KhoiSan. Us black "Bantu people" in the east of South Africa are more KhoiSan than they are. We still use the actual (c, ch, gc, gq, gx, q, qh, x, xh) clicks in our languages that we got from the San. Most Nguni people have San & some Khoi ancestry. Genetic samples show that Nguni people have anything between 2-10% KhoiSan DNA.  • There is a group of San in Botswana & Khoi in Namibia who live on their own land & not once did they claim the whole of Botswana or Namibia. I guess they figured that they can't claim a land who's borders were made in Berlin.  • The Khoi or San are NOT the first group of Homo Sapiens to live in South Africa. There was a non-KhoiSan group of Homo Sapiens that lived in Sibudu Cave by Durban 77 000 years ago, over 50 000 years before the Khoi & San arrived in South ...

Black History Revisionists.

I think some black history revisionists indirectly hate black people. By claiming identities that are not black as black, they put a clown hat on black society worldwide & not just wherever they are.  Black history revisionists are simply liars. Their historical sources are unclear so for them to claim as fact what has no conclusion is doing everyone harm & not just the black race. Three things such people claim is that 1) Egyptian Pharoahs were originally black , 2) Moors who ruled over Spain were black & 3) Yasuke, an alleged black gentleman in ancient Japan, was a samurai . So here are the facts from my findings:  • Only five Egyptian Pharoahs were black : Only the 25th dynasty of Ancient Egypt had a series of black pharoahs. All other pharoahs were either Hamitic, Semitic (Arabic) or Greek. I blogged about this some time ago. (see The Five Black Pharoahs of Ancient Egypt ) • Moors were not all black : Moors were Maghrib Arabs who used black mercenaries from...

We need to fix historical injustices or they may fix us.

Sometimes knowing history to certain extents can be burdensome. It is so much easier to just not know & let The Universe fix things. But since modern & recent history from the 1500s onwards is so well recorded often by people who had first-hand experience of the events they wrote, it's not easy to choose ignorance when everyone is so well aware of each other's history. This then leaves us with the dilemma of letting the past go only for it to continue haunting us or do something about past injustices. Doing something about past injustices can be chaotic & full of awkwardness so we always need to apply a bit of tact & "soft-handedness" to ensure that we don't alienate the present world we live in trying to relive & correct the past. Below are a few recurring topics in African history that many have probably not fully found peace with & I feel that peaceful justice is better than violent justice provided that peaceful justice deals with the p...

Comprehensive classification of Ngoni / Nguni groups.

List of Ngoni / Nguni nations : • Bhaca • Hlubi • Mpondo • Ndebele (northern Ndebele in Mthwakazi & southern Ndebele in Gauteng, South Africa) • Ngoni / Jere / Jele (mainly in Malawi, northern Mozambique, southern Tanzania, Zambia) • Nhlangwini    • Shangaan  • Swazi  • Tembu • Xhosa • Zizi • Zulu Altogether, twelve (12) "Nguni" groups are known to exist. From my knowledge in any case.  Bhaca, Hlubi, Nhlangwini, Swazi & Zizi are the Mbo Entity . The Mbo Entity often declassifies itself from the Nguni group. Nhlangwini & Swazi are under a Dlamini dynasty while the Hlubi & Zizi are also Dlamini tribes. Ngoni & Shangaan are of Ndwandwe origin (a tribe assimilated by the Zulu Empire). Bhaca, Hlubi, Ndebele, Nhlangwini, Shangaan, Zizi & some Mpondo are often classified as Zulu. While it's unknown whether Mpondo & Xhosa qualify as Nguni, they are often grouped as Nguni. Using family groups to classify :  • Mbo • Mpo...

A solution for disenfranchised black Americans.

I'd like to start by saying my level of understanding of black America is of an outsider & will always be of an outsider, all I know is basic sociology & human interaction that allowed me to create this solution.  I believe if the USA really wanted African Americans to leave to Liberia/Maryland, they should've made the transition as easy as possible. Maybe even offer free trips & benefits... but Liberia had established tribes who lived there so maybe they could've got an island off the coast of Africa or some island in the Atlantic Ocean. My best solution for a black Usonian state would be to get the island Haiti & Dominican Republic currently is... make that a US state just for black people. And in time, grant it independence. Haitians & Dominicans could still speak Creole, French & Spanish & do whatever they did before... The new country could be called Ayiti... they could consider themselves as part of Africa or the Americas or both... I c...

The Buthelezian Zulu Kingdom.

Today, The Man from Mpofana analyses the Buthelezian ideology of a post-tribal, modern African ethnostate. This ideology is rejected by some Africans who believe that ethnicities in Africa should remain this (Picture A below) but not this (Picture B below) or this (Picture C below). This ideology, through well-placed systems, creates a breed of competent (uncorrupted), educated & modern African people (usually of one ethnicity) as opposed to the corrupt & struggling African society stereotype. This "way of thought" is based on self-preservation rather than isolationism. The problem with this concept is that many traditionalist Africans see it as "cosmopolitan" & borrowing from developed lands as if to imply that Africans are incapable of developing their lands with their own means & systems that rival developed lands. But to this, we must question these traditionalists "In what world would a modern African warrior reject an automati...

Who is a South African?

Before you wonder why an undiverse person like myself is writing on the identity of such a diverse land, ask who would be qualified to write on such a topic? Everyone has their own biases & if anything, I write with some knowledge of history & little knowledge on genetics so who better? If we're going to go by genetics alone - there is no such thing as a South African. With genetics, you're either black (African), white (European), Indian or Asian. No inbetweens. Coloured or mixed-race people are just a mixture of two or more groups & not a distinct heritage on their own. My logic goes, you are your surname & more importantly you are your parents' child. Whatever your parents identify as is what you inherently are & quiet often this identity is unclear in the modern age of globalisation so your surname becomes ever more important.  What of naturalisation? In the past, there were "rights-of-passage" to naturalisation. Mainly you would show that ...

The Five Black Pharoahs of Ancient Egypt.

The 25th Dynasty, also known as the Nubian Dynasty, or Black Pharaohs, ruled Egypt between 744 BC & 656 BC as part of the greater Kushite Empire. The 25th Dynasty originated from the city-state of Napata in Nubia, in what is today Sudan. The chronology of the reigns for the five Nubian pharoahs of Ancient Egypt. Nubian king Piye (spelled Piankhi or Piankhy in older works) became the first of a succession of five "black pharaohs" who ruled Egypt for six decades with the blessing of the Egyptian priesthood.  King Shebitku & King Shabaka Although the Manethonic and classical traditions maintain that it was Shabaka's invasion which brought Egypt under Kushite rule, the most recent archaeological evidence shows that Shabaka ruled Egypt after Shebitku and not before, as previously thought. The confusion may stem from Shabaka's accession via Kushite collateral succession versus Egyptian patrilinear succession.  ...
