As it is Human Rights Day, I see it fit that I write about something on the abuse of unsuspecting people that happens almost daily in my region of the world. Slavery may be gone, legally, worldwide but some social constructs allow a sort of slavery to still occur. This is the scourge of treating people as objects. I used to be one of these abused people who simply didn't know better, I was simply a tool doing other people's work for a reason I'm still not clear about. Sociology analyses the human mind & many things about humans & the human mind are largely predictable, so I suppose someone knew how our minds work & got us to do their bidding for them. The thing is, people with foresight can acquire the ability to direct our lives in a way that either makes our lives better or worse in the foreseeable future. The more I learn of Spain, the more I understand what they're about & I  respect how they do things. Spain must have among the lowest levels of dementia & alzheimer's disease in the world because they have an "Everything in it's place & a place for everything" ideology. They are not barbarians, the world doesn't shock them. They have a simple, but mostly educated, approach to life. You don't just do things nonsensically in Spain. They just guide nonsense gently out of their land. This is one of the most human countries I've seen despite it's problem with internal nationalism & secessionists. There are racists in Spain but I guess it just comes with the territory. Spain protects Spanish interests. P. S. : Don't come for me, I'm not selling my soul to Spain & I'm not going to Spain any time soon.

I like it when Africans tell their own stories. I have found few other YouTube channels who compare to the New Africa YouTube channel. It is simply a work of art & has some of the best mini-documentaries on YouTube. Many mixed-race people who have, at least, one black parent identify as black in the Western world. In Africa, it's not the same... mixed race people in Africa, especially those with white fathers prefer their father's identity & rightfully so, one usually claims the identity linked with their father's surname. What we as black people assume is that mixed-race people who were born under black culture should simply adopt black culture & forsake their other heritage. Virtually leaving little room to express themselves in full so, in time, they grow resentful of the culture they were born under. My theory is if someone is not of full blood, they should not be considered any of the identities they are a mixture of. Then you say "Maybe when an individual has no identity to go home to, he/she goes rogue & becomes a menace to society when lacking something to hold on to." • Studying foreign cultures & languages offers an escape if you're caught in a one-dimensional world. • We all know that being stuck in a one-dimensional world has a toll on your mental health so as well as providing an escape from a dead-end world, learning foreign languages helps keep you sane . • When you know many languages, it opens up avenues & opportunities for you in the job market. • It decreases xenophobia by decreasing ignorance of a foreign people, once you know why a certain people do things in a certain  way, it helps you understand them & you stop othering them. • It helps you understand the world & geopolitics better when you understand the laws & ways of being of certain lands.

I noticed that one question that seems to undermine Africa the most is "Why didn't Africa invent the wheel?" As if we were expected to have been able to when Australasians, Pacific Islanders, indigenous South American tribes, indigenous North American tribes & Eskimos all never invented the wheel. The wheel was invented in Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq), so unless you are Mesopotamian or Iraqi & to be precise, a direct descendant of the man or woman who invented the wheel, you have no reason to be proud of something you didn't make.
