Many have heard of the story of Babylon where people of many nations united to build a giant ziggurat so they could reach God or be like God. So either God's angels or God Himself confused their languages so they could separate & go to different lands.
I'm not sure what this story is meant to teach myself but I think I get the just of it. Simply; God hates multiculturalism. What does God have against forcing people together who are from different lands & speak different languages? Why would God hate this? Maybe this explains why every empire or forced unification of people has never stood the test of time. Why do we preach global unity or continental unity when God has shown in the past that He is against this? Why is He against multiculturalism?
Well, I did some research. Multi-ethnic lands do seem to be more hateful or racist towards outsiders. If not, they are often murder capitals or crime capitals of the world (see image below). Is it just simply human nature to not want to unite? When we preach unity do we really think that we are better than our true selves? There's already tribalism within our Berlin-manufactured countries, how do we think we're going to unite with the whole continent under one administration? I can imagine the mess & the sheer size of the protests when we disapprove of a particular leader in the "African government". It is scary to even think of. What of nationalism within the continent? Imagine if a Ghanaian (or someone of the African province of Ghana, excuse me) becomes president of the continent? How would Nigerians react? A united African government like many "Afro Unity" advocates preach (which is borderless, single currency etc.) sounds like a series of huge wars waiting to happen. And could be devastating for the economy of the African continent.

REFERENCE: Of the ten most peaceful countries in the world, eight are unicultural states.
Don't get me wrong people, I love the concept of personal unity with African brothers & sisters but we can't make how we feel & our emotions our government. Let's say this united African currency crashes because of one or another reason currencies usually crash & the whole continent is immediately plunged into crushing poverty - how would that be a good thing dear preachers of a united African government? Personally, I love the African Union as it is. I like the fact that it has organised a defence regiment & has some unified structures & I think it best it stay that way. We could unify in areas like skills transfer, trade industries or space travel but that is where it should end before we start a continent-wide tribal conflict. Instead of one currency, we could have five for north, east, west, central & southern Africa. This could ensure that failure of one currency doesn't destroy the entire continent.
KWATUISM
Ofcourse, many urban-dwellers approve of complete African unity because they're multilingual & like vibrant "melting pots" of culture & ethnicities but this is nothing more than the sheer lust for fun & often not practical in the real world. What we should be doing instead is pushing for our precolonial states. This would unify us with our own ethnicity, identity & ways of life (culture) more so that we know ourselves before getting lost in foreign lands in a united Africa. These don't have to be tiny states as in precolonial times, they could be family groups of lands that speak the same languages or share the same ways of life or complementary ways of life. Implementing Kwatuism on the continent could ensure decentralised but compatible systems continent-wide rather than forcing everything into one as though we are Noah & his ark. Kwatuism could ensure separate ways of life & cultural expression so no group or ethnicity feels like their toes are being stood on which causes hate & conflict.
