A South Africa without racial classifications.

What would South Africa look like without racial classifications? We just have to look at Angola, France, Cape Verde &, more recently, Ivory Coast. A lack of racial classification improves very little except minor improvements in televised sports because races working together in a team, while quiet common in the modern world, still intrigues us. In fact, a lack of racial classification increases subtle racism in most cases. A majority black state that has no racial classification often falls victim to subtle racism, a majority white state that has no racial classification often has an increase in subtle & expressed racism. So to me, an ethnostate where race is comprehensively classified is still better than all other options.  IMAGE   We have a real problem with image in a multiracial world & there is no easy solution when people are judged by something as permanent as race or their facial features. Every race is genetically adapted to a specific geographic & climate r

No qualifications, just opinions.

Just some suggestions for Real Madrid C. F.  1) Camavinga is good enough to play CDM.  2) Vinicius Jr. is costing the team too much & wasting opportunities. Loaning him to Arsenal could do some good.  3) Lucas Vasquez is an asset to the team & is good enough to play in midfield.  4) Antonio Rudiger is clumsy & may cause unnecessary penalties. Kalidou Koulibaly from Al-Hilal could be a good replacement for Rudiger.  5) Rodrygo is not a good enough starter & needs to come off the bench as a second-half sub.  6) I don't know what the contract situations with Marco Asensio & Harry Kane are with their clubs but they'd be worth considering as centre-forwards in this team. If Asensio or Kane aren't able, Memphis Depay is still looking for a team. EL CLASICO 2024

The accents of South Africa.

A few years back global media was talking of a "South African accent" & some insisted that South Africa does not have an accent. South Africa is a country of many nations, so there are obviously many accents in this land. I will try list them below, how they sound & public figures who have these accents.  The South African English accent : This accent sounds a bit closer to Australian English than England English just with a lower tone & often a hint of an Afrikaans accent.  Public figures: William Smith, Graeme Smith, Mark Boucher.  The Zulu accent : The Zulu accent sounds like "speaking with the back of your throat". The "th" in English is pronounced "d" with a Zulu accent & "r" is often pronounced as a "w" or "l".  Public figures: King Goodwill Zwelithini, Chief Mangosuthu Buthelezi, Ngizwe Mchunu, Tshatha Ngobe.  The model C accent : This accent is the accent black children adopt when they attend

The Buthelezian Zulu Kingdom.

Today, The Man from Mpofana analyses the Buthelezian ideology of a post-tribal, modern African ethnostate. This ideology is rejected by some Africans who believe that ethnicities in Africa should remain this (Picture A below) but not this (Picture B below) or this (Picture C below). This ideology, through well-placed systems, creates a breed of competent (uncorrupted), educated & modern African people (usually of one ethnicity) as opposed to the corrupt & struggling African society stereotype. This "way of thought" is based on self-preservation rather than isolationism. The problem with this concept is that many traditionalist Africans see it as "cosmopolitan" & borrowing from developed lands as if to imply that Africans are incapable of developing their lands with their own means & systems that rival developed lands. But to this, we must question these traditionalists "In what world would a modern African warrior reject an automati

Hadinkanjamaa: Concept of the heartland of black American culture being in Africa.

I must start with a disclaimer again because I don't know the situation of black Americans. But since we keep hearing of an exodus of black Americans from the USA & Americas to Africa; I devised this idea , a few months back. But who's going to fund this & if it were funded why would they choose this exact plan or path? Well, there isn't a better thought-out plan & funders would be the African Union & the USA.  What would be the benefits of this plan of such a massive scale? Yes, it is creating a new country & identity but it is ideal in that black Americans would create their own land rather than live in a land where they may not fit well in that lands social fabric. I think black Americans have their own set of values, way of doing things, cuisine & cultural expressions. These would be better expressed in a sovereign black American state  (i. e. Hadinkanjamaa) than in Ghana, Morocco, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya or Tanzania. I do not believe that

Why some African flags look similar....

The most common colours in west Africa for flags are yellow, red & green. These are derived from the Ethiopian flag. The countries who took the colours of the Ethiopian flag are said to have had admired Ethiopia as the only country in Africa to have never been colonised. No symbolism for the colours is agreed upon. Imperial flag of Ethiopia. The red, black & green flags are said to have gotten these colours from the Marcus Garvey Pan-African flag. With Kenya, their Former president Jomo Kenyatta was said to have been an admirer of Marcus Garvey . With the I.Y.I.L.E. flag , it is simply conjured up from the three most common colours of the flags of central-east & south-east Africa, which happen to be green, red & black. The symbolism of the colours may differ from country to country.  The flag of South Africa is simply the flag of the Netherlands combined with ANC colours which gives the illusion of a hybrid Jamaican & Dutch flag

The World's Best Basketball Leagues.

The NBA is seen as the pinnacle of club/franchise basketball in the world & many of the world's best players have played there but there are leagues that have their own benefits where basketball players can be as big a star as NBA players. Below are four basketball leagues & an intercontinental championship  that I feel are overlooked & underrated that are potentially as good as the NBA. Many may not think the Brazilian Novo Basquete Brasil league is as good but judging from the talent that comes from there, I'd say it's one of the better leagues in the world. It would be worth a watch as an alternative to the NBA or Euroleague.  The Euroleague is a favourite of mine & many others, it includes teams like Baskonia, Olympiakos, Panathinaikos, Anadolu Efes, Fenerbahce, Zalgiris, CSKA Moscow, Real Madrid, Barcelona & Bayern Munich. This is widely considered as the next best league after the NBA with some claiming it may

Systems are better than individualism.

In football we get teams now that use "systems". It's no longer a football team buying just the best players, they buy the best players for the system. I believe that this can work for top level governance structures in a land also. I myself prefer early 2000s free-flowing football that allowed more expression but I've seen how devastating well-implemented systems in football can be to my preferred (outdated) style of romantic football. So if you can't beat them, join them. A well-engineered system is often near unbeatable. People will be people & they will always be imperfect but you can create a system that can utilise the strengths & imperfections of a people to create a successful land. What am I talking about? The three examples below are systems that realise the imperfections of people & uses them to benefit a land.  Compulsory military service: It is a given that people need certain skills in a land & enjoy doing certain things more. As mal

Who is a South African?

Before you wonder why an undiverse person like myself is writing on the identity of such a diverse land, ask who would be qualified to write on such a topic? Everyone has their own biases & if anything, I write with some knowledge of history & little knowledge on genetics so who better? If we're going to go by genetics alone - there is no such thing as a South African. With genetics, you're either black (African), white (European), Indian or Asian. No inbetweens. Coloured or mixed-race people are just a mixture of two or more groups & not a distinct heritage on their own. My logic goes, you are your surname & more importantly you are your parents' child. Whatever your parents identify as is what you inherently are & quiet often this identity is unclear in the modern age of globalisation so your surname becomes ever more important.  What of naturalisation? In the past, there were "rights-of-passage" to naturalisation. Mainly you would show that
